End result was the motor was rebuilt with parts from a low mileage 2013 engine they had laying around for parts. Now the car runs like brand new. Total cost for rebuilt with diagnosis was $600 plus $150 for tow.

Yea, not going all out on speaker upgrades. Probably Pioneer 6x9 3 way for the rear and probably the same for the front along with the A-pillar tweeters. The front takes 6x9 speakers as well? 2 way or 3 way for the front?

Price, Fuel economy (Big reason), simplicity of it and easy to work on, Parts readily available, and the good reputation of the engine and tranny. Plus, it's for my mom, so she doesn't care about fast and fun cars or lots of features. Simplicity works best for her.
