Yea, not going all out on speaker upgrades. Probably Pioneer 6x9 3 way for the rear and probably the same for the front along with the A-pillar tweeters. The front takes 6x9 speakers as well? 2 way or 3 way for the front?

Price, Fuel economy (Big reason), simplicity of it and easy to work on, Parts readily available, and the good reputation of the engine and tranny. Plus, it's for my mom, so she doesn't care about fast and fun cars or lots of features. Simplicity works best for her.

Does the manual state any other acceptable oil? Cause $60 for a 4.5 quart bottle of 0W20 is kinda expensive, especially since I don't go past 10,000 kms on oil, regardless of Synthetic or Conventional (Hence why I only use Conventional). What changed that they spec'd it from 5W30 for the older...

For our 2011 Corolla, it calls for 0W20...which is really expensive here in Toronto. I was wondering if I can switch to 5W30 or 5W20, as I can get them for a cheaper price. I am aware that the interval will be cut shorter. I'm thinking of going 8,000 kms on Valvoline conventional....ideas?

Damn, never knew that about the 2009's and 2010's.I thought they were different due to the difference in the front and the rear but I was sooo wrong. Looks like we'll be looking around for a 2005-2008 Corolla then.
